CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF BUSINESS AS A SOFTENED FORM OF COLLECTIVISM

Summary

Conception of corporate social responsibility is relatively new step in entrepreneurship history. Views expressed by businessmen about the social responsibility of business bring additional prestige to them in the short period. Doctrine of corporate social responsibility has become an essential part of corporate culture for many companies and it significantly changes the  capitalistic structure of economy.  In the context of corporate social responsibility field of influence includes environmental problems and reducing of poverty.  Ultimately these actions are aimed at achieving better world. This is important question and changes the role of firms in market economy.

 Doctrine of corporate social responsibility implies that managers not only are directed to solve problems that will eventually lead us to better world but they also know how and using what ways to solve these problems. This is extremely audacious assumption. We know that managers are people who are directed to achieve higher level of profits and they rarely think about the social issues. In addition, even experts from governmental and nongovernmental sector do not have single and unified views about the solving social problems and how to make world better.
